Among them, the application fields of pulse laser ranging are becoming more and more extensive, such as topographic surveying, tactical frontier ranging, missile track tracking, satellites, earth-moon ranging, etc. The laser pulse has a long duration, relatively concentrated energy, and high instantaneous power. In the case of cooperative policies, pulse laser distance measurers can reach a very long distance; if only the diffuse reflection square of the pulse laser of the measured distance is used, the weak small reflection signal can also be used for distance measurement. Therefore, the pulse laser distance measuring method is widely used.
Now let’s briefly introduce the working principle of the pulse laser distance measurer: the laser emitted by the rangefinder is reflected by the measured object and then received by the rangefinder. The rangefinder also records the round-trip time of the laser, the product of the speed of light and the round-trip time. Half of it is the distance between the rangefinder and the measured object.
The measurement accuracy of the pulse laser distance measurer is poor, and the general accuracy can only reach the meter level, so some occasions with higher accuracy requirements may need to use a phase laser distance measurer. However, due to the wide measurement range, long-distance measurement is very accurate. The measurement error of one or two meters is already very high.
